U of A's Portuguese Program Director Hosts Virtual Info Session April 7

Portuguese program director and assistant professor Edvan Brito will provide an overview of the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures' Portuguese Language Program during a virtual meeting from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, April 7.
Brito will talk about the program's current and future course offerings, some of the on-campus resources students can use while studying the language, and some of the professional and academic areas where Portuguese speakers can work.
This brief introduction will be followed by a Q & A session, where participants will be able to ask any questions they may have about the program.
The Portuguese language program currently offers courses in two major tracks: the four-semester regular program for English speakers and the two-semester special program for native speakers or learners of Spanish with at least an intermediate proficiency level (SPAN 2013 or higher).
To help students boost their fluency in Portuguese, the program also provides the opportunity to participate in online conversations with native speakers who are university students in Brazil.
