Users can easily verify using the Authenticator app or a text message

Since March 18, the majority of university employees have successfully registered for multi-factor authentication on their UARK accounts.

Between April 1 and 9, those who have registered will be requested to verify their account when logging into online applications, including Outlook, Teams, Box, Blackboard and more.

Upon receiving the request, users will receive an "approve or deny" message through the Microsoft Authenticator app or will receive a six-digit code provided via text message. Individuals receiving a phone call will need to press pound (#) to verify.

This will not be required each time a user logs in but could be requested when using a new computer, wireless network or when connecting through VPN.

For questions or additional support about multi-factor authentication, contact the IT Help Desk at help.uark.edu, by calling 479-575-2905.

You can also join the remote support channel available from 1 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 1 through Thursday, April 9 (excluding the weekend), using the information below:

Additional instructions on how to change your authentication method are available on the IT Services website.

Please note, multi-factor authentication is not required for secondary accounts or retired employees.
