As part of the #Determinedtohelp movement, University of Arkansas faculty, students, staff and community partners have teamed up to create the Razor-Readers Read-Along Channel.

Spearheaded by the U of A Speech and Hearing Clinic, this private YouTube channel offers videos of children's books read by partners on this project. Many publishers have eased copyright policies during the pandemic to allow for recordings of books with specific regulations in place. To improve accessibility, captioning is available for videos on the channel. Families can access the videos any time after completing the access form.

There are nearly 15 recordings on the channel currently and new video submissions are in progress. New submissions are welcomed.

One of the goals of the project is to offer a diverse range of topics, perspectives and life lessons through reading in a kid-friendly format. Another goal is to provide a platform to facilitate the joy of reading for the local community and beyond.

  • To request access to the Razor-Readers Read-Along Channel, complete the Access Form.
  • To submit a video recording, please review and complete the Submission Form. (Please note it's important to review this form prior to recording the video.)

For additional questions, email spclinic@uark.edu. This channel will be provided for the duration permitted by book publishers.
