Lavender Society Celebrates Supreme Court Decision
The Lavender Society, a registered student organization at the University of Arkansas, applauds the recent decision of the Supreme Court of the United States of America to uphold workplace protections to include LGBTQ-plus individuals.
President Toby Klein (she/her/hers) acknowledged, "This decision is long overdue. What a sombering thought that until 2020, it was legal to discriminate against LGBTQ-plus individuals in the workplace. While this court decision is monumental, Lavender Society realizes there is still an incredible amount of work to do, and we will continue to advocate for and empower our community."
