Diversity and Inclusion Office Hours Now Offered to Campus Community

The Office for Diversity and Inclusion is now offering office hours for the campus community to discuss issues relating to diversity, equity and inclusion. Faculty, staff and students can schedule an appointment to meet with an office representative from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

The Office for Diversity and Inclusion established the office hours to help provide opportunities for the campus community to ask questions or offer concerns or suggestions regarding D&I topics.

"Office hours are one of many actions we're taking to ensure we provide a diverse, equitable and inclusive and safe environment for everyone in our campus community," said Yvette Murphy-Erby, vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion. "We want everyone to feel welcome in coming forward with any questions or concerns they may have regarding these important issues, especially as we engage our campus to help develop strategies to advance our diversity, equity and inclusion priority."

Appointments must be scheduled at least two hours in advance. To schedule an appointment, email diversity@uark.edu with "DEI Appointment" in the subject line and specify the date and time for the requested appointment, as well as the appointment length in 15-minute increments. The office will send a meeting link to confirm the appointment.

Additionally, the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences is also holding a "DEI Hour" from 3:30-4:30 p.m. every Wednesday to provide a platform to share experiences, raise awareness and promote educational opportunities around diversity and inclusion. More information can be found on Fulbright's diversity website.
