Community Music School Offers New Group Programs, Private Music Lessons for Fall 2020

The University of Arkansas Community Music School continues to offer private and group lessons for students of all ages this fall, even though lessons are conducted virtually rather than face-to-face. 

For those students who want to take up learning a new instrument or brush off their skills after some time away, CMS and Suzuki Music Schools can get each person on track.

Visit the CMS website to fill out some information and find a schedule and price plan that works best for each person's needs. Prices differ depending on length of lesson and teachers available.

Class will be conducted virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions, so everyone can follow social distancing guidelines and stay safe.

If you would rather be a part of a group music lesson, CMS and Suzuki are offering three new groups starting in September:

• Beginning Music Foundations: Do you have a music curious 4-6-year-old? CMS is excited to offer Beginning Music Foundations class for students and their caregivers to take together! No musical instrument required.
   
• Nurturing Musical Ability: Parents, do you want to foster a love of music in your child? The online course, Nurturing Musical Ability, will discuss how to support and encourage your child's musical education in a community of other caregivers.
   
• Jazz Workout Program: This year CMS is excited to offer the first ever online Jazz Workout Program! Designed after a group workout class, these fun classes will sharpen your jazz skills by working on scales, patterns, and improvisation exercises in an online platform.

Again this year, the University of Arkansas Children's Choir will be open to any boys and girls grades 2-12 who are interested in singing. We have all levels of singers in our choirs from beginners to advanced.
