Student Accounts Upgraded to New Microsoft 365 License

IT Services has upgraded all student licenses of Microsoft Office 365 to A5, the most comprehensive license available. Technology is more important than ever this semester, and now students have access to even greater collaboration tools including exciting new Microsoft Teams features.

A few of the new features include:  

Create interactive data visualizations: With PowerBI Pro, students can more easily work together on the same data, collaborate on reports, and share insights across Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Teams and Excel.

Record Meetings: Capture audio, video, and screen-sharing activity by recording Teams meetings. Attendees will receive a notification in their Teams window when a meeting is being recorded. The recording is automatically transcribed and saved to Microsoft Stream, one of the apps in Microsoft 365, and sent to the organizer via email.

Live Meetings: For large meetings with over 250 guests (10,000 max.), Teams provides the ability for the organizers to create a Live Event. The organizer can set appropriate attendee permissions, designate event team members, select a production method and invite attendees.

Audio Conferencing: If Internet Connectivity is limited, the ability to dial in to hear a meeting is a great option. With Audio Conferencing, you dial a toll-free phone number from any phone or cellular device to participate in the meeting.
