Students coming to the University of Arkansas campus for classes this semester will have the option of utilizing open classrooms for studying in between classes or attending remote classes.

A new online resource has been developed by the Office of the Registrar to help students find the available spaces. The site provides students a list of rooms available across campus as a place to study or log in to their remote classes. The site will include times and days the rooms are available, as well as the maximum capacity that allows for social distancing.

"We know flexibility is the key to success this semester and wanted to provide an easier way for students to find available rooms, especially for students who may have back-to-back classes with alternating modes of instruction," said Dave Dawson, registrar. "This resource should make it a bit easier for students to move back and forth between their in-person classes and those conducted remotely."

Students are encouraged to self-monitor social distancing and use their own laptops for studying or course access.

The list of available rooms may change through the semester, and additional rooms may be added as the semester progresses.
