Do you need emotional or moral support in grad school? You are not alone.
InterVarsity is hosting a faith-based grad student community for peer support. The vision is to have a space to share with and care for fellow graduate students, and learn and grow in the understanding of God. Though this is being hosted by a Christian organization, you do not have to be Christian to attend. Everyone is welcome.
Two cohorts meet online to discuss different topics, especially on emotional health, and participants practice accountability with others in small groups. Two books being read this semester are: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality and Pilgrim's Progress. The group is high commitment so participants can be regularly invested in each other and what they are experiencing and learning on a weekly basis. There are two sections (same content in each): Monday nights 8-9 p.m. and Tuesday nights 7-8 p.m.
The grad student group has seen a great response. This is the last week for new participants to join before the group is "closed" to enable deeper discussions.
