New Features in Microsoft Teams

New Features in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft

In August, Microsoft Teams launched two new features to enhance user experience during online meetings.

With the new meeting experience in Teams, users can take advantage of the 7x7 grid that shows video streams of up to 49 attendees simultaneously.

Together Mode is another new feature that uses artificial intelligence (AI) that makes participants appear as though they are in the same room, like a coffee shop or auditorium.

To try these features, activate the new meeting experience in Teams:

  1. Log into Microsoft Teams, click the user icon and click Settings.
  2. Under the General tab, check the "Turn on new meeting experience" check box.
  3. Restart Teams.

To use Together Mode:

  1. When you join or start Teams meeting, click the three dot Options menu and select Together Mode.
  2. Microsoft Teams will map the faces in each camera feed and create avatars.

Note: The meeting requires a minimum of five participants to activate Together mode. A maximum of 49 participants will be shown on screen at one time.

Microsoft Teams provides a centralized workspace for collaboration, chat and online meetings from any device. Teams is also seamlessly integrated with Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, meet the compliance standards ISO 27001, HIPPA. SOC 2, and EU Model Clauses.

Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration tools are also fully supported by the IT Help Desk. The IT Help Desk provides remote tech support at 479-575-2905 or online chat:
