Hog Fans Celebrate Homecoming on Bicycle

The University of Arkansas’ Office for Sustainability, with support from Veo and Spin, continue to grow the free bicycle-valet parking service at home football games. University of Arkansas Homecoming is this week; celebrate the long-standing homecoming tradition at this Saturday’s Razorback football game against Ole Miss, kick off is at 2:30 pm! The bicycle valet is located on the south side of the Arkansas Union and makes getting to the game easy, fun, and free!

How does the bike valet work? It works much like a coat check service. The customer leaves their bicycle (or skateboard, one-wheel, e-scooter, or any other form of micro-mobility) with an attendant, the bicycle is then tagged with a matching ticket that the customer receives and holds onto until they return to pick up their bicycle. The valet service will be available one-hour before kickoff — giving you plenty of time to enjoy yourself before the game kicks off. Bicycles will be kept secure during the game and will be available to pick-up until one-hour after the game.

This program is just one of many reasons that the University of Arkansas has been designated as a Gold Bicycle Friendly University by the League of American Bicyclists.
