New Position in Faculty Affairs: Director of Faculty Development

The University of Arkansas seeks candidates for a new position in the Office for Faculty Affairs. Under the supervision of the vice provost for faculty affairs, the director of faculty development will provide energetic leadership across campus to support the continued excellence of U of A faculty by enhancing faculty development initiatives and building a strong, inclusive and collaborative faculty community. The director of faculty development is a key team member in the Office of Faculty Affairs, whose mission is to support the career-long success of faculty in the areas of teaching, research, creative activity, and leadership. 

The director of faculty development will collaborate with other units engaged in faculty development activities, including the Teaching Faculty Support Center, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of Program Assessment, and academic deans and chairs/heads. 

We seek candidates who are creative, flexible, inquisitive, life-long learners, resourceful, ethical, collaborative, and committed to inclusive excellence. The ability to prioritize, balance multiple tasks and programs, and work in a dynamic environment while producing quality work outcomes is essential for succeeding in this position.

This is a full-time, 12-month, staff position with full benefits. The position reports to the vice provost for faculty affairs.
