Chancellor Joe Steinmetz

Chancellor Joe Steinmetz is again inviting staff to join him for a beverage, prepackaged snack and casual conversation on topics of interest to staff. Typically, Steinmetz hosts these meetings several times a year, but had to pause them while the university developed its COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. Staff chats with the Chancellor can now resume under these guidelines at the Fowler House Garden and Conservatory.

"I've missed being able to interact regularly with our staff due to the ongoing pandemic," Steinmetz said. "I'm looking forward to getting back to engaging regularly with our hardworking staff in a safe environment. I encourage staff who have not previously participated to join me for a snack so I can learn more about who you are, what you do and what's on your mind."

Keeping the group's size to no more than 13 helps with social distancing requirements and is conducive for an enhanced discussion environment. Those who are interested in attending this gathering should submit your name, job title and department to sally@uarkedu.

The gathering is scheduled for 9-10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6. Names will be drawn, and staff will be notified by Tuesday, Nov. 3.
