Fayetteville Policies and Procedures: Policy Revisions

The following Fayetteville Policies and Procedures have been revised:

  • 418.1 Title IX Policy for Complaints of Sexual Assault and Other Forms of Sexual Harassment
    • When revising the Title IX policy earlier this semester, the following language regarding training was inadvertently omitted. This addition returns the training language to the policy. Notable for the campus community is the language articulating the expectation that training is mandatory for all employees, and that the preferred form of training is online, but available in person (or live) as well.
    • To access your training history and calendar for future training, visit https://oeoctraining.uark.edu/mytraining.php.
  • 718.0 Animals on Campus
    • The following change to Fayetteville Policy 718.0 renames the former Prohibition of Pets on Campus policy to an Animals on Campus Policy. The changes address and define categories of animals that are permitted on-campus, and for what specific purposes, while retaining the general prohibition of animals in controlled spaces of campus. For example, emotional support animals, service animals, and assistance animals, as defined by law and within the policy, may be permitted within controlled spaces of campus. Conversely, a member of the university community may walk their pet dog on the sidewalk but would not be permitted to bring the pet dog inside of any university-controlled spaces. Responsibilities of handlers are also articulated.

All policies may be viewed on the web at Fayetteville Policies and Procedures.
