Finals Prep Week to Help Students Finish Semester Strong

The interim Student Success Center, in collaboration with offices across campus, has planned a weeklong slate of events the week of Nov. 30 to help students prepare for final exams.

Events during Finals Prep Week will help students plan for the remainder of the semester, refresh their minds and bodies and apply techniques and skills to be successful. Programming will help prepare students by giving them the opportunities to reflect on the fall semester, participate in workshops to enhance academic skillsets, and actively practice mindfulness, wellness and personal care.

Events are coordinated in collaboration with units across campus, including University Libraries and UARK Wellness.

"As we near the end of the semester, we want to help students finish strong," said Trevor Francis, associate vice provost and director of student success. "Finals Prep Week is a mix of educational and fun opportunities for our students to relieve stress and encourage them to stay focused on the fall semester finish line."

Events include exercise training, workshops on academic success topics, study hours and fun activities such as a board game night. Resources are also being made available on how to stay motivated, pay attention and make healthy choices. Students are also encouraged to follow the uarksuccess Instagram account for competitions and prizes each day.

The full list of events can be found on the Student Success website. For questions, contact the center at success@uark.edu.
