'The Darwin Seminar' Interdisciplinary Class Offered This Semester

A team of 10 University of Arkansas professors will offer a 3-credit hour interdisciplinary honors class, The Darwin Seminar, this semester.
The spring 2021 seminar explores the science of evolution, the life of Darwin and his voyage on the H.M.S. Beagle, links between evolution and literature, science and religion and even the legal aspects of teaching about natural selection. All course materials including books will be provided.
The seminar is led by Parks Family Professor of Science Education William F. McComas, who will be joined by a team of co-instructors from a variety of specializations across campus.
This class is available for departmental credit in CIED (4503h), BIOL (480VH), HIST, ANTH and PHIL (sign up for HUMN 425VH). Non‐honors students may request permission to register.
Classes will meet remotely from 4:30‐5:45 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
