The Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology is hosting seminar speaker Piotr Trebicki, a senior research scientist at Agriculture Victoria and a senior fellow at the University of Melbourne, Australia, on Tuesday.

Trebicki completed his undergraduate and master's degrees and  in Poland, earned his doctorate in entomology, virology and insect-plant interactions from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, and postdoc from the Department of Plant Biology at Michigan State University.

Currently, Trebicki is investigating the effects of climate change and other environmental factors on the interactions between food crops, pests and diseases. His research aims to understand how future climate will affect food production and security, pest and disease constrains and to identify mitigation strategies.

Trebicki's seminar is open to everyone.
