Commit to Well is a campus wide incentive challenge hosted by UARK Wellness during the spring semester. The purpose of the challenge is to encourage the U of A community to explore the wide variety of wellness opportunities around campus while focusing on the eight dimensions of wellness. The eight dimensions are social, environmental, occupational, spiritual, financial, emotional, intellectual and physical.

Participants earn points for doing any type of physical activity and completing a variety of wellness challenges. The fitness and wellness points earned will determine the prizes awarded at the completion of the challenge.

"Participation in the challenge motivated me to get out and be physically active each day," said Martin Jardon, project/program specialist.

"I also enjoyed working toward a group goal and getting in shape at the same time!"

Participants may sign up for the challenge and log the completion of the fitness and wellness activities beginning, Feb. 1. at fitevent.uark.edu or urec.uark.edu/fitness/special-events.

"This event is free and open to all university faculty, staff and students," said Casey Fant, assistant director of fitness wellness for University Recreation.

"We want to encourage and promote health and wellness across the campus community."

More information regarding UARK Wellness can be found at wellness.uark.edu which serves as an outreach tool and resource bank for the campus community.
