Read the February Issue of the Student Affairs Bulletin

The Student Affairs Bulletin is the official blog from the Division of Student Affairs. Each issue features stories about what is happening in Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas. The stories, written by staff and students working in the Division, include both feature and news stories.

The February issue was sent to subscribers on Monday, Feb. 8. This issue features a story about the MLK Vigil, which usually kicks off the semester. This year the vigil was held virtually but still included many elements from the traditional event. It's also time for students to apply for the many scholarships the Division awards to students each year. Scott Flanagin, executive director of communications for the Division, had opportunity to get his first COVID-19 vaccination at an on-campus clinic, and he has a story about that experience.

Each issue also has a Q&A with a staff member and a student employee from the Division of Student Affairs. This issue's Q&A are with a long-time staffer Adrain Smith and student and peer mentor Tyrah Jackson, both part of the Center for Multicultural & Diversity Education.

The Bulletin Newsletter is typically sent to subscribers the first Saturday of the month, with 8-10 newsletters each year. If you would like to receive the Student Affairs Bulletin Newsletter please send an email with the subject line "Subscribe" to the executive director of communications for Student Affairs, Scott Flanagin, at sflanagi@uark.edu.
