Alumni panel will discuss study abroad experiences as part of national Study Abroad Day

In honor of Black History Month and National Study Abroad Day, the Office of Study Abroad and International Exchange is hosting an alumni panel in collaboration with the national #StudyAbroadSoBlack campaign.

The "Ask Me Anything: #StudyAbroadSoBlack" webinar at 4 p.m., on Monday, February 22, will feature four Black alumni from the university. The #StudyAbroadSoBlack initiative was launched last year by Howard University to create an online space for Black students who have, or want, to study abroad.

The UA panel includes:

  • MyKayla Bowser '20, who is now a current graduate student in Mental Health Counseling
  • Cordarius Enright '16, who is currently employed at Facebook and previously at Amazon
  • Tamara Kuykendall '20, who is a current graduate student in Higher Education.

The panelists will share their personal experience abroad, share advice with future students, and take AMA questions from attendees. Attendees can register and submit questions in advance.
