1960s Hog Hat

U of A faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to submit entries for Bring Your Own Artifact: Razorback Spirit, an online exhibition created by the University Museum and YOU.

The U of A Museum preserves three-dimensional artifacts representing the university's history, such as the very first computer on campus, commencement gowns, Razorback memorabilia like the pictured 1960s hog hat, and architectural features from campus buildings. In celebration of the U of A's 150th anniversary in 2021, we are sharing a selection of them.

We also want to see your artifacts! Now through April 5, submissions are open for the community to share U of A objects on the University Museum's website.

They don't need to be old, an antique, or even feature a Razorback — just something fun or meaningful to you!

So pull out your U of A T-shirt, share your name on the Senior Walk, show off that coffee mug that's gotten you through many late-night assignments, snap a picture of a favorite study spot on campus — whatever it is, submit it here!

The goal of Bring Your Own Artifact: Razorback Spirit is to provide an outlet for the campus community to share personal objects, hear each other's stories, and explore the U of A Museum collections.

Many thanks are in order to the following for their assistance with this program: Museum Outreach Intern Elijah Conley, the Museum Advisory Council and the U of A Honors College Public History Group.
