Honors Students Invited to Attend Virtual Thesis Open Houses in April

The Office of Scholarly Communications and the Honors College invite all honors undergraduate students to a virtual open house. There are four opportunities to attend. Students can virtually drop in to learn about the U of A's institutional repository, receive information about submitting their thesis and ask any questions they may have about the process. No appointment is necessary.

Sessions will be held on Facebook at 2 p.m., April 5, and at 10 a.m., April 13. Additional sessions will be held on Twitter at 10 a.m., April 8, and at 2 p.m., April 14.

"We are excited about this opportunity to meet with students who could use some encouragement on their journey to write their thesis and share a great opportunity by submitting their thesis to ScholarWorks@UARK," said Cedar Claire Middleton, institutional repository coordinator. "As a result of having their work in ScholarWorks@UARK, students can easily showcase their research by providing the url on a CV, job, or graduate school application," Middleton said. "We look forward to visiting with students and answering their questions!"

The Office of Scholarly Communications is jointly sponsored by the University Libraries and the Division of Research and Innovation. The U of A's institutional repository, ScholarWorks@UARK, highlights a growing collection of student work, faculty publications, presentations and teaching materials. Items in the repository are made available worldwide, free of charge. The U of A is committed to disseminating its research and scholarship as widely as possible.
