Asian/Pacific Islander Queer Panel to Occur April 19
The Asian Pacific American Employee Impact Group will host a virtual panel titled "Queer AAPI Identities: When You're More Than One" from 4-5:30 p.m., April 19.
The panel discusses intersectional identities and experiences of queer AAPI communities and possible ways to sustain collective allyship. Panelists are Loring Taoka, instructor of art in the U of A's School of Art, and U of A student Jack West, a pre-med and history major. Facilitators will be Er-Gene Kahng, president of the Asian Pacific American Employee Impact Group, and Injeong Yoon-Ramirez, endowed assistant professor of art education.
