Parking Permit Holders Will Need to Confirm Changes

Transit and Parking will send an email this week to all current parking permit holders with instructions on how you make sure that the right vehicles and license plate numbers are in your account. You should look for the email as early as today, Wednesday afternoon.

The only individuals who will need to reply to the email are those who must update this information and/or make corrections for the 2021-22 school year. Students and employees not returning for the coming school year will not need to reply.

Ensuring that you have the right information in our files is crucial for the efficient operation of the new license plate recognition (LPR) technology that will be in place in the months to come.

You may remember the LPR information provided in the March 10 article in Arkansas News. In short, LPR enables your license plate to become the identifying marker that grants parking access based upon the virtual parking permit you purchase.

The email will ask if the information provided is correct. If it is, you will not need to reply. If changes should be made, you should simply reply with the correct information. Faculty and staff may register up to four vehicles in the system; students may register two.

It is important that you have the correct license plate number or numbers in the LPR system.

Transit and Parking appreciates your assistance in this matter.
