GPSC Awards 13 Research Grants for the Spring Semester

The GPSC Research Council is pleased to announce and congratulate the recipients of the Spring 2021 GPSC Research Grants.

The grants are made possible in part through the generous donation of funds by the Office of Research and Innovation and are the result of a multiyear collaboration between that office and GPSC. Each grant is $1,500 and was created to assist a graduate student in any aspect of their research. They are biannually awarded and open to applicants each spring and fall semester.

Over forty applications representing a wide variety of research topics across campus were received during the spring semester. While each application was outstanding, the following recipients demonstrated best their work's impact and implications.

  • William Loder, Department of Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies
  • Yongjie Wang, Department of Animal Science

Spring Bike Drive Refurbishes Old Bikes for New Students

All donated bikes will be given to Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that will refurbish your bike and return it to the U of A campus to be gifted to a student in need. Hundreds of students have already benefited.
