Associate Dean Ethel Goodstein-Murphree Presents 'Women in Preservation' Webinar

Ethel Goodstein-Murphree will present a webinar June 8 in the "Women in Preservation" series hosted by Preserve Arkansas.

Ethel Goodstein-Murphree, associate dean and professor of architecture in the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, will present a webinar at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, in the "Women in Preservation" series hosted by Preserve Arkansas.

Preserve Arkansas is a statewide nonprofit that advocates for historic preservation. Its Women in Preservation Virtual Speaker Series features Arkansas women who are working to preserve the state's historic places. The free presentations are conducted via Zoom webinar to allow interaction with the speakers and live-streamed to Preserve Arkansas' YouTube channel, where the recordings may also be viewed later.

Goodstein-Murphree, Ph.D., has taught in the Fay Jones School since 1992. She is a specialist in American architectural and cultural history, and her current work engages mid-century modernism, its preservation and the roles of women in its chronicle. Equally important, her work has told Arkansas's architectural story and chronicled the challenges of preserving it to a national audience.
