The U of A is celebrating its sesquicentennial throughout fall 2021 and spring 2022 by acknowledging the past, looking to the future and celebrating the people who have made the university what it is today. This Lunch and Learn will provide information on how to get involved via social media and volunteering, the schedule of events and how you can celebrate this milestone both on campus and away from The Hill!

Date: Thursday, Aug. 12

Time: Noon to 1 p.m. CDT

Location: Virtual Event via Zoom - must register for the event to receive Zoom link.

You'll hear from faculty and staff spearheading the celebrations, including:

  • Amy Schlesing, executive director of Strategic Communications and co-chair of the 150th Specialized Engagement Committee
  • Amy Linimon, director of Donor Engagement and chair of the 150th Premiere Events Committee
  • Larry Foley, professor and chair of the School of Journalism and co-chair of 150th Special Video and Digital Projects Committee
  • Ann Catherine Jouett, director of Advancement Strategy and Campaigns and the co-chair of Engagement through Partnerships and Sponsorships Committee

Spring Bike Drive Refurbishes Old Bikes for New Students

All donated bikes will be given to Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that will refurbish your bike and return it to the U of A campus to be gifted to a student in need. Hundreds of students have already benefited.
