Carbon, Agribusiness and All Things Crypto to be Focus of Aug. 18 Webinar

Carbon markets and cryptoassets are an evolving topic within agriculture and environmental spaces. To provide clarity on the application of these technologies, the National Agricultural Law Center is hosting a free webinar on Aug. 18, 2021, at noon EDT (11 a.m. CDT).

The presenter for this webinar, Carol Goforth, the Clayton N. Little Professor of Law at the U of A School of Law, will briefly review the regulators active in the space, discuss current crypto projects within agriculture and share how blockchain and cryptoassets can track and facilitate the effective use of carbon offsets.

"The webinar will provide a very general overview of blockchain technology and the new world of cryptoassets,"  Goforth said. "There will be a particular focus on aspects that are likely to be of the greatest interest to agribusinesses."
