Multimedia Resources in Mullins Library Available to Campus Users

The University Libraries Multimedia Department, located on the east side of the lobby level of Mullins Library, offers a variety of materials for use by U of A students, faculty and staff. 

Audio and Video Materials 
There are many audio and video materials available in Mullins Library, including U of A concert recordings and streaming databases. Some of the most popular databases include: 

Academic Video Online: AVON, a multidisciplinary video collection covering architecture, art, business, counseling and therapy, dance, economics, education, ethnic studies, ethnography, health, history, humanities, law and public safety, LGBT studies, literature, opera, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, science, theater and women's studies.

Kanopy Streaming Service, which offers thousands of videos including theatrical releases, documentaries, training films and art cinema. 

Naxos Music Library, the world's largest online classical music library.

Naxos Video Library, which presents full-length videos of classical music performances, opera, ballet, live concerts and documentaries. 

Swank Digital Campus, which offers streaming video of films currently licensed for U of A classes. 

Physical Materials 
The department offers access to periodicals and newspapers, including digital newspapers. Readers are available for viewing microform and mircofiche materials. FAQs on using these readers are available online, and patrons who require assistance may ask any available staff member at the Multimedia desk. Microform Research Sets are also available. 

Multimedia Viewing and Conversion Stations 
In addition to view stations, which are available for viewing a variety of audio and visual materials, the libraries also offer media conversion stations

Subject Librarian Assistance 
Performing Arts librarian Drew Beisswenger is available to assist users in finding materials related to film, music, dance, television and theatre.
