Honors Students: Apply for Research Funding

Are you an honors student engaged in academic, creative or experiential honors research? Consider applying for Honors College research funding! The Honors College offers a variety of grants to help cover research expenses and compensate students for the time research requires. And, great news, the Honors College has increased the award values of many of these grants!

Honors College Research Grant — Student stipends that cover research expenses and/or compensate students for the time they spend doing research. This grant is open to all majors and students doing any kind of honors research project (academic, creative or experiential). The stipend is $2,000 per semester, and students can apply for one or two semesters of funding. Deadlines in Fall, Spring and Summer.

Short Term Research Travel Grant — Travel funding for research trips up to 20 days long. Award amounts vary but can be up to $2,000 for domestic travel and up to $4,000 for international travel. Rolling deadline.

Extended Research Travel Grant — Travel funding for research trips of 21 days or longer. Award amounts vary but can be up to $4,000 for domestic travel and up to $8,000 for international travel. Rolling deadline.

Conference/Workshop Travel Grant — Travel funding for students presenting research at a conference or participating in research activities at a workshop. Award amounts are up to $1,000 for a domestic conference and up to $1,500 for an international conference. Rolling deadline.
