Devyn Moore was promoted on Aug. 23.

Devyn Moore was named the new IT Services director of network infrastructure and telecommunication services on Aug. 23. Moore previously was the network enterprise systems team lead.

"I am very pleased that Devyn is assuming this director role," Steve Krogull, chief information officer, said. "He brings over eight years of progressive experience supporting a wide variety of technologies and leading a diverse staff providing service to campus. His commitment to the university and professionalism will help us innovate for the future."

Moore began full-time work at the University of Arkansas in 2013 as a network support analyst. In his role, Moore designed wireless networks for several campus buildings. In 2015, he was promoted wireless network engineer and was responsible for designing and maintaining the campus wireless network. Moore also served on the Staff Senate from 2015 to 2021.

"The opportunities in front of us are very exciting, and I'm grateful to my department for trusting me to lead these teams," Moore said. "I will continue to use my passion for infrastructure in this role to ensure we can provide services that are reliable, available and supportable."

Moore was instrumental on the Network Everywhere project, which added nearly 1,000 wireless access points in academic and general facilities and 175 access points to research and administrative facilities.
