Immigration attorney Adam S. Cohen will provide an information session for international students and scholars from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, in a virtual event sponsored by the Office of International Students and Scholars.

"ISS is pleased to invite all international students and scholars at the University of Arkansas to attend this informative virtual seminar," said Audra Johnson, associate director of the Office of International Students and Scholars. "Mr. Cohen's legal experience and familiarity with student and scholar immigration regulations make him a great resource for anyone who is considering living and working in the United States beyond their time at the university."

The event is designed to inform U of A international students and scholars about immigration laws that may affect them if they plan to live and work in the United States. Cohen will offer a Q & A session for participants and will also address information that students and scholars need to know when applying for work benefits or changes in immigration status. Participants are requested to register in advance.

Cohen is an attorney in the Memphis office of Siskind Susser, where he practices exclusively immigration and nationality law. Cohen has considerable experience with various waivers and procedures.
