The U of A MANRRS chapter is hosting a social and interest meeting today for anyone on campus interested in learning more about the group.

The event is 4:40-6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14, on the Hawkins Family Terrace on the south side of the AFLS Building. All interested students, from any major, are encouraged to join the group for pizza, to learn more about membership and meet this year's officers and advisers.

MANRRS is Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences. Its goal is to link student scholars and professionals from across all three areas, and students from any major are welcome. U of A's MANRRS chapter is housed in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.

The social is a great opportunity to learn about MANRRS as well as a networking opportunity.

The president is Jimena Rodriquez (jr109@uark.edu) and the treasurer is Maricela Maqueda (mamaqued@uark.edu). They can be contacted for questions or more information.
