Cycle September Update: U of A Leading Global Challenge; COEHP Passes Engineering for Third

Ten days are left in Cycle September and the competition is still heating up!

Throughout the month, campus community members have been cycling and logging their miles as the U of A competes in this global cycling challenge. The competition started on Sept. 1, but it's not too late to register! New riders can join at any point this month and still be eligible for prizes. Riders are able to track the amount of carbon emissions they're avoiding, how many calories they're burning and how many miles they are riding!

At the end of the day, miles logged and our place in the competition matter less than the benefits of cycling — using a bike to get to and from places keeps you healthy, reduces our carbon footprint and helps us build a more active and vibrant community.

U of A COLLEGE LEADERBOARD

In the intra-college competition, the College of Education and Health Professions (with only nine riders) just bumped the College of Engineering out of the way and is eying Walton College for second place! With 10 days left, it's still anybody's game! Recruit your colleagues, it's not to late…
