"Prepare to Protect. Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love."

Join U of A Emergency Management as we celebrate National Preparedness Month. National Preparedness Month is an observance each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time. This is the perfect time of year to take a first aid class, update your disaster kit or sign up for the Emergency Preparedness Certificate

Our campus faces many different types of hazards, including severe weather, fire and active threat events. It takes the entire campus community working together to ensure resiliency after a disaster. Therefore, we are asking the campus community to take at least one of the following actions to become better prepared:

Emergency Management is celebrating National Preparedness Month by offering an Emergency Preparedness Certificate. This program consists of nine classes, ranging from Emergency Preparedness 101 to Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events. The first class in the certificate program is Oct. 7. For more information and to sign up, please visit Human Resources Employee Development Program's website.
