Student Perspectives on Pandemic Learning and Academic Integrity for Classes Going Forward

U of A faculty are invited to attend a panel discussion focused on student perspectives specific to the changes faced during pandemic learning as well as their views regarding academic integrity from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, via Zoom.

The learning environment continues to change. The pandemic introduced many faculty and students to different ways of learning, teaching and assessing knowledge. The focus of this event will be to give student panelists an opportunity to share their experiences regarding pandemic learning and provide faculty members insight as they consider what tomorrow's learning environment will be.

The panel will feature five students from a broad range of disciplines and experiences at the U of A:

  • Cody Parrish, senior, industrial engineering
  • Peri Ortiz, junior, special education
  • Jackson Walton, sophomore, finance and political science
  • Erica Jones, sophomore, international and global studies
  • Roderick Fields, second-year graduate student, recreation and sport management

The panel will be moderated by Paul Cronan, professor in the Sam M. Walton College of Business, and Jason Endacott, associate professor in the College of Education and Health Professions and chair of the All University Academic Integrity Board. This will be a hybrid event in which the panel will be meeting in person, but the audience will attend remotely. Participants attending via Zoom will have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions during the event.

This event is co-sponsored by the Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center, Teaching Innovation and Pedagogical Support (TIPS), and the Office of Academic Initiatives and Integrity.
