Parking Vacate Reminders for Basketball Season

Both the Arkansas men's and women's basketball teams will be starting their 2021-22 seasons soon, and you'll want to know the best way to be reminded of when parking areas should be vacated for the games. 

Those who signed up for vacate reminders on their Outlook calendar during football season will not need to do anything different; they will continue to get reminders for the home basketball games.

Those who haven't signed up, however, may wish to do so now. Simply go to the calendar app within Outlook and follow these instructions:

• Right click on "My Calendars" heading
• Select "Add Calendar" then "open shared calendar"
• Enter the name "PARK: Athletic Events" and then click OK.

You should then see the calendar in your list.

Opening home games for the Arkansas men's basketball team are Nov. 9, 13 and 17. The first home games for the Arkansas women's basketball team are set for Nov. 10, 12 and 22.

For games on weeknights, the athletic parking areas should be vacated two hours before tip-off time, but it is not required before 5 p.m. For games on Saturday or Sunday, the parking areas should be vacated no later than two hours before game time. For students who live on campus who have to vacate a parking area, some have found that it is a good idea to move their vehicle on Friday night before home Saturday games, or on Saturday night before Sunday home games.

Students who have resident reserved parking or who have a garage parking permit and are legally parked in those areas are not required to relocate.

Those who have to move a vehicle out of a parking area are welcome to park in Lot 99, south of the main campus on Beechwood Avenue. Lot 99 can be accessed with any current parking permit.
