Philosophy Department to Host Talk by Professor Megan Fritts
The Department of Philosophy is pleased to announce a talk by professor Megan Fritts of the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. Her research interests span a wide array of topics, including technology ethics, human agency and religious existentialism.
The talk, titled "Fake News, Phantom Patterns, and Subtle Harms," will be at 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, in Giffels Auditorium (MAIN 201).
This lecture is being funded by a grant awarded to philosophy doctoral candidate Anthony Holdier. The Scientifically Engaged Lecture Grant is a series sponsored by the Society of Christian Philosophers. The goal of this grant and lecture series is to foster philosophical discussion and encourage scientifically engaged projects at a wider range of colleges and universities.
