New Short Takes: Dedicated to Arkansas for 150 Years and Beyond

The roots of the U of A run deep. From our first graduates in 1871 to this year’s freshmen class, our university’s dedication to Arkansas has never wavered for 150 years.

In the latest Short Takes video, David and Monica Petter of Stuttgart and 1993 graduates of the U of A, show a portion of their soybean field that they have dedicated to honor the U of A’s 150th anniversary by cutting the logo across a 3.5 acre swath of beans. 

The design gives a nod to the U of A’s agricultural roots and fundamental purpose as a land-grant institution and state flagship university – to serve the state of Arkansas.
