Transit and Parking Reminders for November and December

During a typical school week, Razorback Transit buses follow their normal schedule, and parking patrol officers monitor all parking areas on campus.

But in November and December there are some exceptions.

Razorback Transit does not run on Sundays, but they do provide routes on Monday through Saturday.

In the coming days, however, Razorback Transit will have a few additional modifications in service. There will be reduced route service (non-peak service) on Wednesday, Nov. 24, and no service on Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving Day) or on Saturday, Nov. 27.

On Friday, Nov. 26, Arkansas hosts Missouri in football, and Razorback Transit will provide game day service routes until 5 p.m.

After that, Razorback Transit buses will have non-peak service on Dec. 17, Dec. 20-23, Jan. 3-7 and Jan. 10-15. There will be no Saturday bus service on Dec. 18 and 25 or on Jan. 1 and 8. In addition, there will be no Razorback Transit bus service at all from Friday, Dec. 24 through Jan. 2.

On dates of non-peak service, no bus routes run after 5:30 p.m.

For specific details, you may see the operations calendar.

Parking patrol enforces parking requirements on every day that the U of A is open. There are days in which classes are not in session but the university is still up and running. Parking enforcement must continue on those days.

Transit and Parking is hiring individuals who wish to work as bus drivers or as parking patrol officers. To apply, go to jobs.uark.edu and then click on "Career Site" to go to the job listings. Click on "Fayetteville" and then indicate the area you prefer in the search bar. Type in "Transit" if you are interested in becoming a driver, or type in "Parking" if you wish to see openings for parking enforcement.
