Saudi Arabia Featured at Today's Global Series
We continue our Global Series tour of Arabic countries today by learning about Saudi Arabia. The Global Series program offers international students and domestic students with study abroad experience a place to share their culture and experiences with the campus community.
To learn more about the customs and traditions of Saudi Arabia, come to the Holcombe Hall living room at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 2.
The kingdom of Saudi Arabia is in western Asia and sits next to Yemen, Oman and Iraq. There are so many interesting facts about Saudi Arabia. Did you know that it is forbidden to take pictures of government buildings, military installations and palaces? Or that it is the third largest country in Asia?
One of our presenters, Tami Muhammad Alhajri, invites people to come learn about Saudi Arabia for two main reasons: "First, there are good numbers of Saudi students in the U of A community. Second, to promote open-mindedness and acceptance of different cultures and people."
The Global Series program features and celebrates distinct cultures represented on campus. Learn about the different homes of our international students and the experiences of our domestic students in new countries. Join us as we learn and celebrate the diversity in our students.
This event is open to all students, staff and faculty as well as the Fayetteville community. We encourage attendees to invite their families and friends.

About University Housing: University Housing is a department within the Division of Student Affairs serving a residential community of around 6,200 on-campus students. More than 200 students find employment opportunities with University Housing each year. We offer educational programs that support the success of students and services that help students focus on academics at the University of Arkansas. Living on campus starts with a housing contract.
