Coffee Chat on Debunking Rape Myths
The Campus Sexual and Relationship Violence Center announces "Coffee Chat" topic for March 9. Come join us for a free cup of coffee and conversation about Debunking Rape Myths. This is part of a series of conversations about diverse topics associated with addressing sexual and relationship violence. Twice a month the SRVC will host "Coffee Chat" for informing on matters through dialogue over a cup of coffee.
"We live in a silent epidemic of rape culture, and this Coffee Chat series educates on why sexual assault needs to be discussed," said Katie Lingren, SRVC graduate assistant and Coffee Chat facilitator.
Coffee Chat will be an informed, open discussion with SRVC staff, featured guests and attendees in a trauma-informed environment. Enjoy some free coffee and great conversation from 1-2 p.m. today, March 9, at the Campus Sexual and Relationship Violence Center, located at 640 N. Garland Ave., GACS 113, next to Subway at the Garland Garage. Limited to the first 25 people who attend.
