A research team from the U of A College of Education and Health Professions is conducting a qualitative research study about the experiences of undergraduates with chronic pain.

You qualify for this study if:

  • You are at least 18 years old,
  • You experience recurring or persistent chronic pain that lasted at least three months and
  • You are an undergraduate student at the U of A.

The research team — made up of leaders from the Counselor Education and Occupational Therapy programs — is recruiting U of A undergrad students who live with chronic pain for a paid research study. This study has two parts: a 15-minute online survey and an interview. Having completed the online survey, students who qualify will be invited to participate in an interview.

Individual interviews will last one to two hours via Zoom or in person, depending on student participant preference. After the interview, you will receive an email request to review your interview transcript to check it for accuracy. You may also be asked follow-up questions. A $30 Amazon gift card will be given to each participant who fully completes the online survey and the interview. This incentive is provided to thank you for your participation.

If you are interested in learning more about the study or would like to participate, please fill out this form or scan the QR code to be directed to the site.
