Teaching Camp 2022: Apply Now

Teaching Camp is an informal event focused on teaching in a relaxed, offsite venue. The objective is to spend time reflecting on teaching, engaging with colleagues, and jumpstarting the academic year. Attendance to camp is free — meals and lodging expenses are covered by the Teaching and Faculty Support Center and it is available for all full-time faculty.

This year's camp is scheduled for Aug. 8-10, at the Basin Park Hotel in beautiful Eureka Springs. The theme for this year's teaching camp is "Enhancing Student Engagement, Motivation, and Learning" and our keynote speaker will be Cynthia Brame, associate director of the Vanderbilt University Center for Teaching and senior lecturer in biological sciences.

You can apply to attend remotely or in-person. For those attending in person, transportation to and from Eureka Springs will be provided (although you will have the option of driving yourself). If you are attending in person, you are required to participate all three days.

If you are interested in attending, click here to apply! Please submit your completed application by midnight on Monday, April 18. Please answer all questions completely as the application includes some criteria, we will use in selecting camp participants. Incomplete applications will not be considered. You will be notified of your acceptance by Friday, April 29.

We will keep everyone posted as the program comes together! We hope you will consider joining us, either in person or via remote access. We look forward to seeing you for a Eureka moment!
