Celebrate Refugee Awareness Day April 14
Students with Refugees

Students with Refugees invites students to attend Refugee Awareness Day on Thursday, April 14, from 2-8 p.m. on the Union Mall.

Refugee Awareness Day is a simulated resettlement experience to shed light on a refugee's experience within their first week in Northwest Arkansas. Participants will go through simulations of the airport, the home, navigating public transportation and the doctor's office while learning about Canopy NWA, the resettled community in NWA, and the process of resettlement in the United States. There will be food available and performances to watch throughout the day!

Students will get in free and non-students can purchase tickets for $15 at the entrance on April 14. All non-students can pay via cash or a check payable to the University of Arkansas.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee.
