Science Venture Studio Seeks U of A Students for Summer 2022 Commercialization Fellowships

The Science Venture Studio has opened applications for its Spring 2022 cohort of commercialization fellows.

The Science Venture Studio is looking to hire two to three advanced senior or graduate students who can commit to 20 hours per week to work alongside the Science Venture Studio team to help a company prepare and submit a Small Business Innovation Research or Small Business Technology Transfer proposal. 

Applications close May 2. The internship includes a $5,000 stipend and will last from May 16 to Aug. 8. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom the week of May 9. 

Each fellow will be partnered with a Science Venture Studio client company to work over the course of a semester to conduct market research, customer discovery and other duties as needed to reach the milestones the companies have identified for a successful small business proposal.

The cohort is made possible through a partnership with the U of A and Startup Junkie, which oversees the Science Venture Studio.

About Science Venture Studio: The Science Venture Studio aims to help Arkansas science- and technology-based startups apply for non-dilutive federal funding. The SVS team is composed of a grant specialist, advisor, commercialization fellows and technology mentors all with the passion for helping small science and technology business secure funding to develop their technology and grow their company. SVS is supported by the Walton Family Foundation and collaborates with Innovate Arkansas, the Northwest Arkansas Council, University of Arkansas Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Startup Junkie.
