Show Out for B-Out Day April 22
Submitted by BMSP and CSA

The Black Male Scholars and Professionals and Caribbean Students Association invites students to attend B-Out Day, a celebration of Black culture, from 5-11 p.m., Friday, April 22, at The Gardens on Razorback Road. This event seeks to celebrate persons within the African, African American, Caribbean, Native American and Hispanic communities. There will be a cultural showcase, food, music and activities.

B-Out day is designed to highlight the array of Black culture we have at the U of A. This event is open to every student on campus to come, learn, enjoy and celebrate Blackness at the U of A. As the minority population, most students are not aware of what Black culture entails, and Black students often feel isolated. This event will simultaneously educate students and promote community to combat isolation. In line with the Black Male Scholars and Professionals mission, this event will be designed to empower Black men and women through cooperative learning. This event also serves to connect the student population with Black community vendors.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. For questions about the event or for accommodations due to disability, please contact Jeremiah Williams, jcw064@uark.edu or call 479-575-5255.
