AIAA and ASME Host Artemis Seminar NASA Marshall's Chief Technologist April 29

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers sponsor an Artemis Seminar from 2-2:50 p.m., Friday, April 29, in BELL 2282. John Dankanich, the chief technologist of NASA Marshall, will speak at a seminar regarding NASA's Artemis program, the upcoming lunar exploration missions. Students are encouraged to ask questions after the seminar. Free Chick-Fil-A will be provided first come, first serve! 

Not only is the overarching goal of the Artemis program to revive humankind's presence on and around the moon, but it is also a unifying bipartisan and international effort to grow the human space exploration program. While NASA still focuses efforts on protecting and preserving our Earth, establishing a stronger human-robotic presence in space is the first step in humanity becoming a multi-planetary species, which will allow us not only to learn more about how to help our home planet, but also more about ourselves, our place in existence and what makes life begin and thrive.
