New Silicon Carbide Research Facility Hires Program Manager

The U of A College of Engineering is proud to announce that John Ransom is the program manager of the newly established Multi-User Silicon Carbide Research and Fabrication Facility. Ransom joins the U of A from X-FAB Texas, where he was formerly the director of SiC Technology. He has more than 35 years' experience in the semiconductor industry.

"We are looking forward to the many contributions John will offer the University of Arkansas during the construction and operation of the MUSiC facility," said Alan Mantooth, executive director of research facility and Distinguished Professor of electrical engineering. "He is well-known in the SiC semiconductor field and is an instant impact on our team."

The Multi-User Silicon Carbide Research and Fabrication Facility is a new silicon and silicon carbide fabrication facility funded by the National Science Foundation and the Army Research Laboratory.  Read more about it here.
