Jenna Stacey has been named College of Engineering employee of the quarter for the third quarter of fiscal 2022 with a record number of nominations from faculty.

Stacey is program manager for the ASCENT center, reporting to Jia Di, department head for computer science and computer engineering.

The Employee of the Quarter award recognizes staff who play an integral role in the College of Engineering’s daily routines.

Matthew Patitz, associate professor of computer science and computer engineering, nominated Stacey for her high level of performance, initiative to take on hard tasks and countless improvements she has made to the department.

“This nominee not only performs tasks with professionalism and dedication to quality, but consistently goes to greater lengths to determine how else she can improve processes as well as student, staff and faculty experiences,” Patitz said. “An additional, and huge, impact that this nominee has on the department is due to her personal care and compassion for us all: students, staff and faculty.”

In addition to her passion for people, Stacey elevates the department with her work ethic. “The nominee perfectly handles all routine activities ranging from student recruitment, scholarships, annual security technology workshops, to career fairs,” said Xintao Wu, professor of computer science and computer engineering.

Di said Stacey has made tremendous strides in improving the department’s work environment.

“Her talent, work ethic and demeanor have proven indispensable to our faculty, staff and students,” he said. “She has great attention to detail and continues to impress the department with her organization, management and strong leadership. She is instrumental to the success of our team.”
